The most common types of uses we get asked for fall into 3 types:
1. Consumer unit fuses - fit into the main fuse box.
2. Plug fuses - fit into a mains plug.
3. Appliance fuses - fit inside the appliance.
When a fuse blows, it usually indicates there is something wrong, which has caused it to blow. This could be as simple as a bulb blowing, water falling on something, the circuit being overloaded, or a fault with a component. If this fault is not rectified, a new fuse may blow again.
If you cannot find the exact current rating you require, it is usually OK to fit the next size up.
